At Aromatic Spice Blends, our philosophy is threefold: Organic, Small-batch, Hand-crafted.

Our process begins with sourcing whole Organic Spices. Farming was always an organic endeavor since the beginning of organized cultivation, until the incorporation of pesticides and unhealthy additions to the soil to grow food. It will take tremendous time and effort to eradicate years of abuse of our soil, but this change can happen and is happening, albeit slowly. 

We at Aromatic Spice Blends believe that by supporting organic farming practices and organic certifications of farmlands that produce amazing, nutrient dense, immensely aromatic, earthy, yet jewel-like spices, we are doing our part to make the change we wish to see in the spice trade.  

Our care for the environment starts with our belief that there is no need to build up a ton of inventory of any product. Having to build an inventory requires buying raw material in huge quantities, which would have a direct impact on harvesting more than required from the earth and then finding ways to sell it. Even when sold in large quantities, many shelf stable food products sit on the shelf and are eventually thrown away leading to vast amounts of waste. 

We have a simple solution: We buy smaller quantities of raw material but often enough to make our small batch products. We then sell to retailers who are also passionate about the environment and who buy in small quantities from us. This maintains a healthy chain of supply without over-working the planet while giving you, our customers, the freshest products possible!

We excel in the art of dry roasting organic raw spices to perfection on the stove top to bring out the very best flavors in each individual spice. We then grind the spices by hand to just the right texture, then blend them by hand to create authentic flavors that take you delightfully around the world. Our products are uncomplicated yet skillfully created to allow the ingredients to shine, and we pride ourselves on excellence in simplicity.

Our incubator kitchen and factory are right here in Northern Virginia where all the magic happens. Each blend is made in micro batches, is always fresh, and is always handmade.
